Toledo City, formerly known as Pueblo Hinulawan, is a third class city in the south part province of Cebu, Philippines. Population as of 2010 census is 157,078 people.[3]

On June 19, 1960, Toledo became a chartered city under Republic Act No. 2688, authored by the late Congressman Manuel A. Zosa representative of the old Sixth District of Cebu

Malubog Lake and dam is nestled in a green bowl in Toledo City in Cebu. It is said to be the largest man-made and privately owned lake. This is where the nearby copper mines and the city get their water, and has a potential of becoming Toledo's next tourist attraction.
